The Daedalus Planning Process The 6 stages as described below highlight the process that Daedalus Design has found successfully produces a final product that efficiently meets the technical, design and cost criteria of the development.

1. Site Reconnaissance and Analysis - To analyze the characteristics of the site and the client's development brief.

2. Structure Plan - To determine the best option for development of the site by creating a preliminary plan that shows an overall structure for the site which is consistent with the client's development brief. This will identify the location of the developable areas, open spaces and circulation elements.

3. Preliminary Masterplan - To prepare a more detailed site plan showing all the elements and preliminary dimensions of the developable areas as identified on the previous structure plan.

4. Final Masterplan - To document the Masterplan as a fully rendered exhibit which can be used by the Client in the marketing and sales of the project. Depending on local authority regulations, this plan may possibly be used as the basis for the development of a preliminary submission document.

5. Detailed Site Plan - To refine the Final Masterplan and prepare a Detailed Site Plan which accurately locates all elements of each development parcel. Depending on local authority regulations, this plan may possibly be used as the basis for the development of a final submission document.

6. Development Guidelines - To prepare a document which can be used to guide the future development of individual parcels, setting out development covenants and recommendations to ensure the cohesion of the overall project.
